Section B: This 7 session, three hour class meets Saturday mornings 11:00am-2:00pm from July 9, 2016 through August 20, 2016.

I'm going to use this summer's Intermediate class as a catch all for things we don't do enough of during the year. We will do some study from other artists' work, we will have an artist demo, and we will work from the figure as we usually do. Saturday students are welcome at the Thursday class's artist demo as well as their own class's demo. New painters can also do the Intro Painting exercises during the summer session.

If you are new to Phil's teaching, even if you are very experienced, take Intro before taking Intermediate. Many experienced artists have taken Phil's Intro and all have said it was unlike any of their previous training and not the least bit remedial.

Materials: For the first session, painters should bring some acrylic colors you like, acrylic titanium white, acrylic gloss gel medium, some cheap brushes about thumb size, and any shape palette knife. We will begin painting on the studio paper, so no canvasses are necessary. Drawers only need to bring graphite, charcoal, and erasers. Paper will always be provided.
