This workshop will present most of the content of Phil Sylvester's 8 week Intro To Painting class in a three and one half day workshop format. Class will meet Thursday evening September 11 through Sunday afternoon September 14. Thursday the 11th, we'll meet from 6:30-9:00pm. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday we will have 2, 2.5 hour painting sessions each day, the first from 10:00am-12:30 and the second from 3-5:30pm. That way, students will be able to take an intensive version of Intro To Painting that only requires one day off work. This class is only open to students who have taken at least one term of drawing.

Beginning painting exercises will help students become comfortable experimenting with acrylic paint, using paint expressively, and reworking paintings. Breadth of color familiarity will be encouraged through color mixing exercises. More experienced acrylic painters may also take this class as a way of loosening up their painting again. The workshop will take place at The Drawing Studio, 3614 SE Division, Portland, Oregon.
